    Interested in learning more about the non-profit sector? A partnership between CAPS: Your U of A Career Centre and Community Service-Learning, the Non-Profit Board Student Internship is a perfect way to learn how boards operate, to develop leadership and decision-making skills, and to gain a better sense of the contributions you can make to community. Applications for the 2012-2013 program, which starts in September, are currently being accepted until Friday, 13 April.

    The University of Alberta is pleased to be participating in a national research study of student interests and attitudes regarding their careers and employers. The report, known as From Learning to Work, will help employers better understand how to attract students and graduates while also helping us learn how to better serve you with career planning support.

    Some Twitter users may have noticed the hashtag #Iamscience appearing in their Twitter feeds. #Iamscience is a hashtag and Tumblr meme started by Kevin Zelnio, a science writer for Deep Sea News. Kevin was attending a conference when he came to the realization that sometimes the path to becoming a scientist is not a direct route from high school to grad school, but that very few people know about the diverse of career paths and life experiences of scientists.
